Blood Help From U.S. Prison — Nurses From the Community Blood Bank, 4040 Main street, work with inmates who donate blood in the hospital at the federal penitentiary in Leavenworth, Kas. Registered nurses and staff from the bank make a trip to the penitentiary every three months to receive blood donations. The U. S. Penitentiary Blood Savings club was founded in 1958 by an inmate at the prison.
