Did you know a Kansas City businessman was the first in the U.S. to produce frying pans coated with Teflon? Marion A. Trozzolo was also the developer of the River Quay in the mid-1970s. He died in 1992.
Here’s the original caption:
“(Marion A. Trozzolo’s) Laboratory Plasticware Fabricators at 615 Wyandotte Street was the first in the nation to manufacture and market a Teflon-coated frypan, an item the firm still produces but in limited quantities. Another specialty is a line of magnetic stirring bars used by laboratories.”
