The Missouri Valley Conference’s basketball season could use some good news. The latest hit is a season-ending injury for Bradley guard Sam Maniscalco.
Maniscalco is a preseason All-MVC pick and one of those players who defines the MVC. He can shoot. He plays unselfishly. He always plays hard. He is always a pest to the other team. He’s been one of the MVC’s bright spots since his freshman season.
Because of a bad left ankle, Maniscalco decided to shut down his season and apply for a redshirt. The Braves lost junior Taylor Brown before the season started to a medical condition.
Bradley lost its first game without Maniscalco, at Western Carolina on Tuesday.
