A 24-year-old Kansas City man has been charged in a fatal shooting Monday in east Kansas City.
Joshua Lee, 24, faces charges of second-degree murder, armed criminal action and attempted robbery.
Lee is accused in the killing of Walter Pollard, 21, whose body was found on the front porch of a home in the 2300 block of Hardesty Avenue about 1:15 a.m. Monday.
According to court records, Lee told police that a drug deal had been arranged with Pollard, who was shot by others who were involved. Lee told police that he took Pollard’s cellphone and money after he was killed and tried to destroy the phone to erase messages between himself and Pollard.
Prosecutors requested a bond of $300,000.
