Shooting victim found at Kansas City, North, McDonald’s dies

Police on Wednesday were investigating two shootings in Kansas City, North, including one where the victim was found at a McDonald’s restaurant.

Officers responding to a shooting about 12:15 a.m. Wednesday found 18-year-old Tyler Eddington of Kansas City in the restaurant’s parking lot in the 4000 block of North Oak Trafficway.

Emergency crews took him to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to police.

About 12:30 a.m., another shooting victim arrived at a hospital. The man said he had been shot near Northwest 48th Street and Vivion Road. The man suffered serious injuries in the shooting, according to police.

Police said they did not know if the two shootings were related. No suspect information was available.
