A man used sexual language and exposed himself to a juvenile girl last week in Overland Park, police said Wednesday.

The incident occurred Friday when the girl was walking home. She first encountered the man near the intersection of 143rd and Lamar.

The man was driving a newer model black SUV and was described as being in his 30s with dark, partially slicked back hair and stubble. He was wearing sunglasses and a black dress shirt with light color stripes.

He initially asked the girl for directions to the nearest dog park, Overland Park police reported.

Then he left the area, driving westbound on 143rd Street.

The man then engaged the girl again in the 14400 block of Horton Street, where he used lewd language and exposed himself.

He then fled eastbound on 144th toward Dearborn, then north toward 143rd Street, police said.
