Police have declared an all clear after about 100 people were evacuated in Northeast Kansas City Monday afternoon, following reports that an apartment may have been booby-trapped.

Police said that a military veteran told a case worker that he had booby-trapped his apartment.

Streets around Independence and Prospect avenues were blocked for about 90 minutes before police gave the all clear around 2 p.m.
