If at first you don't succeed illegally entering U.S., try, try again — 11 times

A Honduran man arrested last year in Kansas City for drunk driving has pleaded guilty to illegally entering the United States for the 11th time.

Jose Salazar-Aguilar, 33, now faces a potential sentence of 20 years in federal prison for illegally entering the country after being deported because he is a convicted felon.

Salazar-Aguilar has prior convictions for delivery and possession of a controlled substance, forgery and for the same crime he pleaded guilty to on Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Kansas City, according to prosecutors.

He was last deported in August 2013, a month after being released from prison on July 1, 2013, according to prison and court records.

Kansas City police arrested him in February 2017 for drunk driving and was taken into custody by immigration agents.

A sentencing date has not been set.
