Lenexa police and Kansas Highway Patrol officers were on the scene Tuesday of an officer-involved shooting at Mauer and 87th Street in Lenexa.

A man wounded in a Tuesday night police shooting in Lenexa was charged Thursday with multiple felony counts.

Taylor Greenlagh, 20, was charged in Johnson County District Court with two counts of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, and single counts of aggravated battery on a law enforcement, fleeing and eluding and theft.

Lenexa police said they were tracking what had been reported as a stolen vehicle about 7:40 p.m. Tuesday when patrol cars surrounded the vehicle in a parking lot at 15920 W. 87th Street Parkway.

As officers were ordering the driver out of the vehicle, the vehicle sped away, police said, and it hit several police cars. A Lenexa officer fired into the vehicle and hit the driver.

The wounded driver continued to speed away, leading police on a chase west on 87th Street for about 3.5 miles before he surrendered around 81st Street and Woodland Road, police said.

Officers performed life-saving measures until paramedics arrived, police said, and the driver was taken to an area hospital. Police officers were treated for minor injuries.

Bond in the case is set at $250,000.

Greenhalgh had a warrant for his arrest issued in Wyandotte County for missing a court appearance in a traffic case, according to court records.

He is also on probation in Johnson County in a theft case, according to court records.

Johnson County prosecutors filed a motion to revoke his probation on Monday, according to the records.

The Johnson County Officer Involved Shooting Investigation Team will investigate the shooting.
