A 28-year-old Kansas City man charged in a 2015 fatal shooting has been captured in Minnesota.

Lakeith R. Courtney was being held without bond Sunday in the Hennepin County jail in Minneapolis. He was booked into jail on Thursday afternoon, according to jail records.

In 2016, Courtney had been charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action in the Nov. 7, 2015, fatal shooting of 32-year-old Kevin L. Durham, whose body was found in his parked 1976 Pontiac Grand Le Mans near 41st Street and Prospect Avenue. Durham had been shot multiple times.

Surveillance video, digital pictures, social media posts and rap videos helped Kansas City police identify Courtney as the suspected shooter, according to court documents.

Greater Kansas City Crime Stoppers most wanted fugitives.
