Hours after police asked for help identifying a "person-of-interest" in the fatal shooting at a 7-Eleven convenience store late Friday, Kansas City police announced that they had the man in custody.
A man, who has yet to be identified, was fatally shot inside a 7-Eleven at 10615 Blue Ridge Blvd., about 11:15 p.m. Friday. Emergency crews rushed the man to a hospital where he later died.
Several people were inside the store at the time of the shooting.
Police released a surveillance image on Saturday morning of a "person-of-interest" who was seen fleeing in a tan vehicle at the time of the shooting. Police asked for help identifying the man, including sending out a tweet.
