Family and friends are mourning 39-year-old Kiley M. Cubie, who was found fatally shot last week on a sidewalk in a Kansas City neighborhood.
Officers responding to a report of an injured person found Cubie about 4:30 a.m. Thursday near 36th Street and Park Avenue. Police discovered she had been shot. She was declared dead at the scene.
"We are truly devastated, hurt, angry and confused by this unexpected occurrence that has been bestowed upon us," fundraiser organizer Talisha Cubie wrote on both pages.
