Update: Police identified the victim who died as Jesus G. Reyes, 15.

A teen has died and another person clings to his life after a double shooting late Monday on Kansas City's East Side.

Police in the area of East Truman Road and Hardesty Avenue about 10 p.m. Monday saw a vehicle stopped in the middle of the intersection.

When officers stopped to check on the vehicle, they found two people inside who had been shot. One victim had died by the time emergency crews arrived. The second victim was rushed to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
