Four people were injured early Saturday when a car fleeing police crashed into another car and flipped on Southwest Boulevard in Kansas City, Kan.

The 1997 Acura, driven by a 17-year-old Kansas City, Kan., man, was headed east on Southwest Boulevard at 31st Street about 12:55 a.m. when it struck a westbound 2013 Buick Lacrosse driven by a 26-year-old Overland Park woman, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol crash report.

The Acura flipped and struck a utility pole, knocking it to the ground, the report said. The driver and his passengers, a 17-year-old woman and a 19-year-old man, both from Kansas City, Kan., were taken to an area hospital. All three were wearing seat belts, the crash report said.

The driver of the Buick also was taken to a hospital with injuries. It was unknown whether she was wearing a seat belt, the report said.
