Independence police are investigating after someone fired shots into a mobile home Tuesday night, leaving one person hospitalized.
The shooting was reported shortly after 11 p.m. in the 12800 block of East 47th Street. Officers found that numerous shots had been fired into the mobile home from outside, according to Officer John Syme, a spokesman for the Independence Police Department.
Officers found one person shot inside the home. The person was taken to a hospital and was in stable condition Wednesday morning, Syme said.
Police said the investigation continues. No one had been taken into custody as of Wednesday morning.
