A Douglas County judge on Friday ordered trials for three defendants in a downtown Lawrence shooting incident that killed three people and wounded two others.
A trial date was set for May 14.
The shooting occurred early on Oct. 1 as bars were closing and hundreds of people were in the area of 11th and Massachusetts streets.

Anthony L. Roberts Jr., 20, Ahmad M. Rayton, 22, and Dominique J. McMillon, 19, all of the Topeka area, are charged in the case.
A preliminary hearing in Douglas County District Court ended Friday with a judge finding there was probable cause to try all three men.
Roberts is charged with two counts of first-degree felony murder, one count of second-degree murder and one count of attempted second-degree murder.
Rayton faces two counts of attempted second-degree murder and one count of criminal possession of a firearm.
McMillon is charged with single counts of aggravated assault and battery.
