Leawood police are seeking a man who performed a lewd act in front of a girl and woman inside a public library.

Police on Friday released photographs of a man they want to speak to about the incident that was reported about 5 p.m. on Aug. 29.

The girl and a woman tutor were meeting at the library at 4700 Town Center Drive when the man sat down near them and according to police, “repeatedly touched his groin and fondled himself.”

The woman and girl immediately reported the incident, but the man left before police arrived.

The suspect is described as an Hispanic man in his 30s. He is about five feet, five inches tall and weighs about 160 pounds. He was described as having a scruffy beard.
