A 58-year-old Kansas City man was sentenced Monday to five years and 10 months in federal prison for a 2016 bank robbery in Leawood.
Terry Lovelady was one of two men charged last year in the Aug. 24 robbery of the Central Bank of the Midwest at 4801 Town Center Drive.
Lovelady and co-defendant Chad English, 43, were charged in U.S. District Court in Kansas City, Kan.
Lovelady allegedly robbed the bank while English was accused of driving the getaway car. The two led police on a high-speed chase, running red lights and cutting off other drivers, before the getaway car jumped a curb, rolled down a hill and came to a stop in a parking lot at St. Joseph Medical Center in Kansas City.
The two fled the car on foot and were soon arrested.
English pleaded guilty in February and was sentenced in May to 52 months in prison.
