Lee’s Summit is working on maintenance and repairs of the Southwest Street and Northwest Chipman Road bridges.
The Main Street Bridge repairs were set for Monday and the Chipman Road bridge will begin Friday. Temporary closures will be required for work on both bridges.
The Main Street bridge over Second Street is expected to remain closed for approximately two weeks. The deck is being milled and replaced with a new concrete overlay and the decorative stone work will be removed. In place of the wood railing, a decorative fence will be installed on top of the concrete barrier.
