Bukaty adds executives
Leawood-based Bukaty Companies Financial Services has hired two financial industry veterans to top management positions. Phil Troyer was named vice president of compliance, and Barb Blauw was hired as vice president of operations.
Troyer, who specializes in federal securities laws, previously ran his own firm. Blauw has more than 20 years of financial operations experience, most recently at The Mutual Fund Store.
PeakVision Sports Eyewear, which was founded by Paul Moore, has relocated from Overland Park to Stuart, Fla. PeakVision produces sunglasses featuring the company’s proprietary lens technology that focuses on vision in outdoor activities. This year, the company partnered with golf legend Jack Nicklaus and the Nicklaus Companies to design and promote a brand of sunglasses.
California Casualty, an auto and home insurance provider to educators, firefighters, law enforcement workers and nurses, is celebrating its 100th anniversary today . The company, based in San Mateo, Cal., operates a service center in Leawood that has about 100 employees. The Leawood office opened in 1994 and was the company’s first expansion move. California Casualty was founded in 1914 by Carl Brown and is now run by the fourth generation of the Brown family.
