Two men posing as utility workers forced their way into the home of a woman in the 5300 block of Hardy Street in Overland Park on Wednesday afternoon.
Police said the men restrained the woman, who was home alone, and left her uninjured.

The woman told police the men came to her door about 4:35 p.m. wearing orange vests and hard hats. After ransacking the home, they left northbound on Hardy in a small, white pickup truck.
One man was white, in his 20s, with a slender build and wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans. The other man was black, in his 20s, with a heavy build and also wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans.
