Status symbol

Shawnee Mission Medical Center has received the “Platinum” designation from Optum for its contributions to the Kansas City area in behavioral health. Optum, formerly United Behavioral Health, based its rating on a review of clinical data over a full year. Its review included readmission rates and average length of inpatient stay.
