Your guide to voting in Johnson County’s spring primary

Advanced voting began Tuesday for the spring primary, where voters in Shawnee, Roeland Park and those in who live in areas of Lenexa, Overland Park, Olathe and Oxford Township that are the Olathe school district will whittle the candidate field in advance of the general election April 7.

In-person advance voting began Tuesday at the Johnson County Election Office, 2101 E. Kansas City Road in Olathe and will continue from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Friday; from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday; and on Monday from 8 a.m. to noon.

Polls open Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. To find your polling place, go to jocoelection.org/PDF/pollingplaces/PollingPlaces032015.pdf.

You must present a government-issued photo ID to vote in Kansas. Valid ID includes your driver’s license, non-driver ID card, U.S. passport or Kansas college ID.
