On June 20 at approximately 1623, a deputy made contact with a female at the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, located at 2501 W. Mechanic in Harrisonville, in regard to what she believed to be a case of fraud. The matter turned out to be financial exploitation of an elderly/disabled person due to the two parties involved stating they would pay back the monies given. Two suspects have been identified.

On June 22 at approximately 2056 hours, a deputy conducted a vehicle stop on Interstate 49 near 327th street on a tan truck as a computer check revealed the driver to have a revoked operator status. The driver was arrested on an active Cass County warrant and transported to jail.

On June 24 at approximately 2225 hours, a deputy responded to 351st and Sliffe in reference to a motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival, the deputy observed a truck had ran into a barbed wire fence. The driver of the truck was placed in custody for driving while revoked.

On June 19 at about 0652 hours, a deputy was dispatched to the Belton Police Department to administer a drug recognition evaluation. Upon arrival, a deputy contacted a female and administered the evaluation. Upon completion of the evaluation it was determined, she was under the influence of a central nervous system depressant and unable to operate a motor vehicle safely.

On June 20, a deputy conducted a traffic stop on a 2003 brown Chevrolet truck with Missouri license. The driver of the vehicle was arrested for driving while revoked. The driver was transported to the Cass County jail for processing.
06/20/17 23:22 1710 LAKEWOOD TERRACE, BELTON
On June 20 at approximately 2335 hours, Cass County deputies responded to 1710 Lakewood Terrace in Belton to assist the Belton Police Department on the scene of a reported shooting. Belton police said one person suffered a gunshot wound, which did not appear to be life-threatening, and was transferred to an area hospital. Police identified the suspects and took them into custody. As of June 27, Belton police said no suspects have been charged, and the incident is still under investigation.

On June 21 at 1318 hours, a deputy was dispatched to 2501 W. Mechanic Street in Harrisonville in reference to a disturbance. The deputy made contact with a male and gathered information for the report.

On June 22 at approximately 2226 hours, a deputy conducted a vehicle stop in the area of 187th and Mullen on a maroon Ford for having no license plates. The driver was arrested for driving while revoked, failure to register and open container, and transported to the jail.

On June 23, a deputy was requested by the Belton Police Department to conduct a K9 track for a wanted subject in the area of Chapel Terrace, west of Vicie Avenue in Belton. The track was met with negative results.

On June 23 at approximately 1937 hours, a deputy was dispatched to the area of Mullen Road for a rolling disturbance. The deputy made contact with a female who stated she was assaulted and her van was damaged. A suspect was identified.

On June 24, a deputy conducted a traffic stop at Cambridge and State Route Y in Belton on a white Chevrolet Lumina for failing to dim bright lights. The driver was issued a summons for fail to dim and the passenger was issued a summons for possession of marijuana.

On June 25 at approximately 1408 hours, a deputy was dispatched to the 500 block of E. 2nd St. in Creighton in reference to a report of a disturbance in progress. A female stated she was pushed into a wall but no injuries were received. A suspect has been identified.

On June 19 at approximately 1329 hours, a deputy responded to a call for a located stolen auto at 23736 S. Old Trail Road in East Lynne. The auto was recovered and the investigation is being handled by Harrisonville PD.

On June 19, a deputy conducted an investigation of a disorderly subject in the 26000 block of State Line Road in Freeman. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with the female party who appeared to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol due to her slurred speech and unable to maintain balance. Female party was transported by Harrisonville EMS to Cass Regional Medical Center for treatment.

On June 25, a deputy responded to the 300 block of W. 4th Street in Freeman for a report of stolen firearms from a vehicle. Upon arrival, it was reported that two handguns had been stolen from a vehicle parked in front of a residence. No suspect information is available at this time.

On June 19 at approximately 0321 hours, a deputy responded to the area of E. 323rd Street, west of State Route T, in reference to suspicious activity. A person’s mailbox was damaged in the 32000 block of E. 323rd Street, along with several others on the street. No suspects have been identified.

On June 20 at approximately 1933 hours, a deputy was dispatched to the 31000 block of S. Missouri T in Garden City for stealing. Upon arrival, the deputy spoke with the reporting party who stated someone broke into his out building and stole some wood and hedge clippers. Suspects were not identified.

On June 24 at approximately 1118 hours, a deputy was dispatched to the area of State Route 2 and Old Drum Road in rural Garden City in reference to a report of suspicious activity. The investigation revealed a female had been assaulted by a male subject who fled the scene prior to the deputy’s arrival. A suspect has been identified.

On June 19 at approximately 1028 hours, a deputy responded to the front lobby of the sheriff's office in reference to a property damage investigation. Upon arrival, the deputy contacted the reporting party who stated someone had damaged a water meter in the 31000 block of S. McClain Road outside of Harrisonville. One suspect has been identified.

On June 21, a deputy was requested to conduct a track for a wanted person by the Harrisonville Police Department in the area of W. North Street, west of Independence Street in Harrisonville. The track was met with negative results.

On June 21, a deputy conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Independence and Chestnut streets in Harrisonville. The driver was arrested for an active Cass County warrant, possession of drug paraphernalia, and careless and imprudent driving.

On June 24 at approximately 0506 hours, a deputy responded to the area of State Route 7 and Tiemen Road in reference to a wrong way driver. The deputy observed the vehicle and was able to conduct a vehicle stop. The driver was arrested and taken to the jail for careless and reckless driving and driving while intoxicated with a person under 17 years of age in the vehicle.

On June 24 at approximately 1425 hours, an assault occurred in the Cass County jail. A suspect has been identified.
06/24/17 20:25 HESS RD/319TH , HARRISONVILLE
On June 24, a deputy assisted Conservation with making contact with two male subjects in the area of 319th and Hess Road. One of the male subjects fled on foot. The male subject was located later that evening and taken into custody on several active warrants.

On June 19 at 1053 hours, a deputy made contact with a male in the lobby of the Cass County Sheriff's Office. He was reporting a burglary that occurred at his residence in the 15000 block of E. 231st. A suspect has not been identified.

On June 22, a deputy was requested to assist the Missouri State Highway Patrol with a track for a subject that fled from a vehicle stop in the area of 251st Street and Brookhart Road in rural Peculiar. The result of the track was terminated due to Missouri State Highway Patrol not actively pursuing, or trying to stop the suspect that fled the area.

On June 23 at approximately 1601 hours, a deputy conducted a traffic stop on I-49 northbound at approximately the 167.6 mile marker, for failure to signal a lane change. The passenger of the vehicle, Larhonda Frazier, after checking with dispatch, was confirmed to have two active warrants out of Jackson County, and was placed under arrest. Upon the driver of the vehicle, Rico Elliot, consenting to a search, the deputy found a sandwich bag containing a green leafy substance which the deputy believed to be marijuana. Frazier admitted to the marijuana being hers and she was cited for it.

On June 19 at approximately 1003 hours, a deputy was dispatched to the 15000 block of South Smart Road in Pleasant Hill in reference to a report of stealing. The reporting party stated someone took the issued trash container from Waste Management systems from her property. A suspect has not been identified.

On June 21 at approximately 1916 hours, a deputy responded to the 18000 block of State Route E in Strasburg in reference to an assault. A male was assaulted by a resident of a behavioral home. A suspect was taken into custody in this incident.
