On June 12 at approximately 0002 hours, a deputy conducted a vehicle stop in the area of 155th and Holmes on a red Ford Mustang for speeding. The driver was arrested and transported to jail on an active warrant.
06/17/17 17:40 PROSPECT/58, BELTON
On June 17 at approximately 1740 hours, a deputy conducted a vehicle stop on S. Prospect Avenue, north of State Route 58. The stop resulted in the arrest of the female driver, who was booked and released on issued summons at the Cass County jail for exceeding the posted speed limit by 6-10 mph, no front license plate, no proof of insurance and no
state operator's license.

On June 13, a deputy investigated a tractor accident which resulted in the death of the property owner. While en route dispatch advised that Dolan West Dolan fire personnel had arrived on scene and determined that the victim, later identified as Gary L. Burns, a male 69 years of age, was deceased. The Jackson County Medical Examiner arrived on scene and took custody of the victim’s body.

On June 18 at approximately 2130 hours, a deputy responded to the Cass County Sheriff's Office lobby in reference to a
walk-in stealing report. A cell phone was stolen from a vehicle on June 17 during a child custody exchange at Cass Midway School. A suspect has been identified in this incident.

On June 16 at approximately 1618 hours, a deputy responded to the 1500 block of State Route A for a stealing. Upon arrival, the deputy gathered information for the report. The trailer was located and returned to the owner.

On June 12 at approximately 1124 hours, a deputy was dispatched to the 2800 block of State Route W near rural Cleveland in reference to a burglary.

On June 15, a deputy responded to the Freeman Cemetery for a report of stealing from a grave site. It was reported that decorations had been taken from a head stone. Suspect information is not available at this time.

On June 16, a female reported that flowers had been stolen from the Freeman Cemetery. There is no suspect information at this time.

On June 17 at approximately 2247 hours, a deputy was dispatched to the report of found property at the Casey's General Store in Garden City. Upon my arrival, the deputy contacted a male who reported he found a suspicious item in the store. A bag of what is believed to be methamphetamine was seized and placed into evidence.

On June 18, a deputy was dispatched to the 800 block of Highway F in Garden City for a report of a burglary. A male stated he had concert tickets and a tablet stolen from his residence. A possible suspect has been identified.

On June 14 at approximately 1155 hours, a deputy responded to an assault at the Cass County jail.

On June 15, a deputy conducted a vehicle check on Clearwater at Highway 2. A dark colored BMW was parked in the lane of travel with its hazard lights on. The male driver was arrested for tampering, a female subject was arrested on an active warrant. Two suspects were contacted and placed in custody in this case.

On June 15, a deputy assisted Missouri State Highway Patrol with a vehicle sniff at the northbound Scales located on Interstate 49 north of Highway 7. There were negative results on the search of the vehicle.
06/17/17 06:50 WEST OUTER RD, HARRISONVILLE
On June 17 at 0705 hours, a deputy was called to Sapp Brothers, 27603 S.W. Outer Road in Harrisonville, in regard to suspicious parties. The deputy contacted Brooke A. Thompson and David J. Neal, Jr. in a gray primer Jeep Cherokee parked at a gas pump. The vehicle was reported stolen on June 11. Both suspects were arrested.

On June 17 at approximately 1232 hours, a non-compliant inmate was sprayed with oleoresin capsicum solution and placed into the restraint chair. The inmate was decontaminated and not injured in the incident.

On June 18, a deputy conducted an investigation of a stolen purse that occurred in the 21000 block of 275th in Harrisonville. Upon arrival, a deputy made contact with the victim who said her purse was stolen from the back room of the business and believed it was possibly her ex-boyfriend. Will follow-up with business for video footage.

On June 12 at approximately 1803 hours, a deputy was dispatched to the 15000 block of E. 231st Street, Peculiar in regard to a burglary. The deputy made contact with the property owner who stated someone entered the property between 0800 hours and 1600 hours without his permission.

On June 12 at 2349 hours, a deputy conducted a traffic stop on southbound I-49 at Peculiar Way on a gray 2006 Mercury Grand Marquis. The male driver was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

On June 15 at approximately 0001 hours, a deputy conducted a vehicle stop on S.E. Outer Road near E. 223rd Street in Peculiar. An investigation resulted in the discovery of drug paraphernalia and marijuana.

On June 15 at approximately 0634 hours, a deputy responded to the 22000 block of S. Hedgewood Hills Road in Peculiar in reference to harassment. An investigation resulted in the arrest of a suspect for misuse of 911.

On June 18 at 1621 hours, a deputy was dispatched to the 22000 block of S. Peek Drive in Peculiar in regard to an unresponsive subject. Subject was transported to the Medical Examiner's Office for further investigation.

On June 13, a deputy responded to the 22000 block of E. State Route 58 in Pleasant Hill reference an injury motor vehicle accident that had just occurred there. Upon arrival, the deputy investigated the single car crash which resulted in the driver and only occupant being transported to an area hospital for injuries sustained in the crash.

On June 15 at approximately 2000 hours, a deputy responded to the intersection of 203rd and Highway 291 in reference a theft in progress. Upon arrival, the deputy spoke with the reporting party who stated that he observed someone attempting to steal a trailer from his property. A male subject was contacted and placed in custody in this incident.

On June 12 at 1025 hours, a deputy was dispatched to the 1500 block of N. Mullen St., Raymore in regard to a disturbance. The deputy contacted the reporting party who stated he had been assaulted by a known suspect and sustained minor injuries.

On June 12, a deputy was dispatched to the Raymore-Peculiar East Middle School in reference to a careless and imprudent
driver. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with a male who advised a gold or gray SUV attempted to hit his vehicle. The driver of the gold or gray vehicle has not been located.

On June 18 at 1345 hours, a deputy was dispatched to the 800 block of N. Jerry in Raymore in regard to property damage. The deputy made contact with Charles E. Dunham who was having an issue with a neighbor. An investigation revealed no property
crime occurred. Dunham was arrested on unrelated charges.

On June 18, a deputy assisted the Raymore Police Department with a disturbance in the 100 block of West Laredo Trail in Raymore. A male was taken into custody by Raymore Police Department.

On June 12 at approximately 2323 hours, a deputy attempted to make a vehicle stop on Missouri 58 at Shimel Road. The vehicle fled the area at a high rate of speed. One subject was detained and later released after it was determined he was not involved.
