In 2016, Raymore resident, Wendy Musick decided she and her daughters should audition for The Theatre in the Park’s summer season. At the time, she thought it would be a great family experience and the audition process would be a good learning experience.
Cass County Fair runs July 10 and runs through July 15 at the fairgrounds, 308 W. Commercial St., Pleasant Hill. The schedule includes livestock competitions, a 5K run/walk, live musical performances, a carnival, and, of course, fair food.

The Filer family of Harrisonville, Missouri, has founded Tyr Run Club to benefit Children’s Mercy Hospital, where son Cade Filer was treated for brain cancer. It also aims to help kids get active. The first meet is May 20, 2018.
