Centerview Ribbon Cutting & Open House

3-6 p.m. — Centerview, 227 Municipal Circle (behind City Hall), Raymore

The city will be celebrating the opening of Centerview, its newest event and gathering space. The ribbon cutting will be at 4 p.m. Refreshments will be served.

June 17

Customer Appreciation Day

11 a.m.-3 p.m. — Harrisonville Animal Shelter, 1300 Clearwarter Drive, Harrisonville

Event will have a silent auction, hamburgers and hotdogs and tours of the animal shelter.

Junk in the Trunk Sale

4-7 p.m. — 400 and 500 blocks of Loop Road, Belton

Setup starts at 3 p.m. Spaces are $5 each.

June 20

Casino Royale

1-4 p.m. — High Blue Wellness Center, 16400 N. Mullen Road, Belton

Admission is $5 per person, and includes five raffle tickets and 25 chips. Light snacks will be served. Games include bingo, black jack, roulette and poker.

Raymore Farmers Market

4-7 p.m. — T.B. Hanna Station Park, 214 S Washington St., Raymore

Hurts Donut in Harrisonville

Noon — DLS Tire Center, 703 S. Commercial St., Harrisonville

Emergency Donut Vehicle from Hurts Donut will start selling doughnuts at noon until they sell out. Proceeds go toward Harrisonville Bright Futures and Just4Me.

June 24

Cruising Main Street

4 p.m. — Downtown Belton

June 24 will be ’60s night. If a cruise is canceled due to weather, the cruise will be rescheduled for the following Saturday.

July 1

Spirit of America Celebration

4-10 p.m. — Recreation Park, 1011 S. Madison St., Raymore

A fireworks show accompanied by music, car show, kids activities, live music and more will be featured during this annual event.

July 4

Harrisonville's Hometown Fourth of July Celebration

11 a.m.-10:30 p.m. — Harrisonville City Park, 706 Ash St., Harrisonville

This year’s celebration features an all-ages bike parade, pool games and contests, face painting, bounce houses, live music and a fireworks show at dusk. Event organized by the Harrisonville Parks & Recreation Department. For more information, call 816-380-8980.

2017 Chamber of Commerce Networking at Sporting KC match

7:30 p.m. — Children’s Mercy Park, 1 Sporting Way, Kansas City, Kan.

Program includes reserved seating for Sporting KC vs. Philadelphia Union. Pre-match Chamber networking event from 5:30-7 p.m. on the Ivy Investments Executive Level Lounge. Tickets are $40. Take Defense Class

10 a.m.-noon — Peculiar Elementary School gymnasium, 201 E. Third St., Peculiar

Join the Peculiar Police Department for a defense class conducted by the Ali Kemp foundation. Reserve a spot at The class is free, but donations are accepted for the foundation. Open to the public.
