A Big Bunny Bash near Liberty Hospital begins at 10 a.m. Saturday.
The Bash is a combined effort of the city of Liberty, Liberty Hospital and Liberty Clinic.
Children up to age 10 are invited to come and hunt for the 13,500 plastic eggs that will be hidden near the walking trail and open area behind Liberty Hospital, 2525 Glenn Hendren Drive.
“It’s supposed to be a big, fun community event where families can come out and hopefully enjoy the nice spring weather,” said Stacey Hamby, community relations specialist with Liberty Hospital.
Last year, 1,200 children showed up for the event, and Hamby expects even more this year now that the city is partnering with the hospital and clinic.
Egg hunt times are: 10:30 a.m. ages 4 and under; 11 a.m. ages 5 to 7; 11:30 a.m. ages 8-10.
Also planned is an obstacle course, photo booth with the bunny, an art station and a bunny petting zoo provided by Martha Lafite Nature Sanctuary. Representatives of Liberty police, fire and Clay County Sheriff’s office will be available.
Event sponsors are Cosentino’s Price Chopper and Target.
Preregistration is suggested at www.libertyhospital.org or Facebook.
