Incumbent Adam Naber faces challengers Jodi Bloemker and David Copeland on the April 2 ballot for Ward 3 on the Smithville Board of Aldermen.
The third ward is also represented by Ann Darr.
Bloemker wants to focus on the future of Smithville and create a more long-term plan to deal with anticipated growth. She especially wants to work to maintain the aging infrastructure so the city is prepared for the rise in population.
Naber did not answer questions and Copeland could not be reached.
