Young Liberty entrepreneur receives Star in Agribusiness award from Missouri FFA

Student entrepreneur: Dawson Tyler of Liberty received the Missouri FFA Association’s Star in Agribusiness for outstanding achievement in work experience in an agricultural business.

Tyler has operated DT Lawn Service for more than two years. He mows yards and provides landscaping as well as snow removal services in his community.

Tyler has served as chapter president and secretary of the Northland Career Center FFA Chapter and also has received an award for turf grass management.

Park University

Annual awards: The university recognized students, faculty and staff members for leadership, service, contributions and school spirit during the 2017-2018 academic year.

Ikem Eriobuna and Shea Walker from Parkville and Sara Marshall from Kansas City, North, received the Dr. Doris Howell Leadership Awards.

Eriobuna and Marshall are earning master of business administration degrees. Walker is a senior majoring in nursing.

Austin Pool from Kansas City, North, was announced as the Outstanding Class Member for non-graduating seniors. He is majoring in English writing and was chosen for service to and participation in Park University.

Robin Burger, student success coach from Platte Woods, and Jeff Enrlich, associate professor of healthcare administration from Parkville, received the Park Family Award. Recipients represent a family-like culture in their interaction with students, faculty and staff members.

Zac Jarrard from Kansas City, North, received the Toni Griggs Award for outstanding contribution of leadership, service or work performance to Park. Jarrard is pursuing a master of business administration degree.

Anna Hicks from North Kansas City earned the C.W. Bailey Award for exhibiting the spirit of Park University. Hicks is a sophomore nursing major.

Debra McArthur of Kansas City, North, was recognized for academic and teaching betterment of students. McArthur, director of academic support services, received the Dusing-Proudfoot Award.
