The Kansas City streetcar will run extended hours Sunday, carrying riders until midnight the day before Labor Day.
And it will keep running during the holiday Monday, from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
The KC Streetcar Authority announced the holiday hours this weekend along with updated ridership figures putting the number of people using the streetcar in August at 204,252.
The busiest day last month came on Aug. 6 with 13,610 passengers. The streetcar averaged more than 6,500 a day in August.
In July, the streetcar reported an average daily ridership of 6,612, passing 550,000 total rides in its first three months.
Before the streetcar launched on May 6, officials had predicted that average daily ridership would be about 2,700.
