To better serve justice, Missouri prosecutors collaborate to determine best practices

Cases such as that of Ali M. Mahamud, whom a Platte County jury in 2007 convicted of second-degree murder, not the initial charge of first-degree murder, have prompted Missouri prosecutors to investigate ways they can do their jobs better. The Missouri Association of Prosecuting Attorneys has created committees to develop best practices and examine ways prosecutors and law enforcement can improve their crime-fighting efforts.
