One injured in drive-by shooting

Kansas City police are investigating a drive-by shooting Wednesday afternoon outside a house at 6708 Myrtle Ave.

Police said the victim apparently had been standing outside the house about 11:30 a.m. when an unknown person drove up and shot him in the leg.

The victim, whose identity police have not released, was shot once in the thigh.

When police arrived the wounded person had already been driven to Research Hospital for treatment. Police said the victim was in stable condition.
