Former IRS workers indicted in jobless benefit scam

Ten former employees of the Internal Revenue Service were indicted on federal charges that they accepted a total of more than $112,000 in unemployment benefits while working for the agency.

The defendants are Michelle Glavin, 32, Christopher Bair, 50, Tiffani Harding, 26, Christopher Castillo, 33, Brenda Jones, 49, and Jesse Love, 60, of Kansas City; Priscillia Smith, 46, and Leisa Hunsel, 38, of Belton; Shalonda Bradley, 40, of Grandview; and Berneta Weedin, 59, of Platte Woods. Each is charged with theft of government property and bank fraud.
