Four in custody in KCK school shooting

Four people were taken into custody Thursday in connection with a shooting incident Wednesday in which at least one bullet entered Whittier Elementary School in Kansas City, Kan.

Police spotted a vehicle thought to be connected to the shooting in the 1200 block of Sumner Avenue. After a short chase the vehicle was stopped by a tire-puncturing device on Interstate 670 near Genessee Street. The four occupants were taken into custody.

No one at the school, 295 N. 10th St., was injured.
