Jackson County prosecutors have filed four felony sex charges against a 28-year-old man for allegedly assaulting a 9-year-old girl last year.
Prosecutors charged Raymond L. McBee, of Kansas City, with forcible sodomy, statutory sodomy, child molestation and sexual misconduct for acts that allegedly occurred in June last year at the girl’s Kansas City home. McBee was a family friend, police said.
According to court records: The girl told police McBee followed her into the kitchen, where he exposed himself. She felt dizzy and fell while trying to leave the kitchen. Later, when she returned to the kitchen, McBee allegedly followed her again and assaulted her. He also allegedly forced her into sex acts on a couch, then told her to hurry up and get dressed because her father was coming back inside.
McBee reportedly apologized to the victim’s father a few months later and said he was “high,” according to court records. Police arrested McBee Tuesday. He remained in jail Wednesday night in lieu of a $250,000 bond.
