Breast cancer survivor Bret Miller: A blue streak through a pink world

The color pink has become symbolic of breast cancer awareness. Each fall, during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the world is awash in it. Bret Miller, a 27-year-old resident of downtown Kansas City, knows that’s a good thing for the disease that’s the second leading cause of death by cancer in women. But Miller, himself a breast cancer survivor, wants to add a little blue to the conversation.
