Brad Pitt is busy shooting a World II epic in the English countryside with hundreds of extras and co-star Shia LaBeouf. But he’s apparently keeping track of a certain Missouri football team that’s currently 9-0.
Pitt, who grew up in Springfield, Mo., appeared in a brief video feed on Saturday at the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Bancroft School Apartments in Kansas City, a project partly financed by the actor’s Make It Right foundation.
Pitt, sporting a soldier’s haircut, appeared from one of the wet, muddy fields where the action blockbuster, “Fury,” is being shot in the Oxfordshire countryside. (He’s been taking tank driving lessons, so we can’t wait to see that.) The movie, which has early Oscar buzz, is scheduled to hit theaters in November 2014.
After brief comments about the Bancroft project, Pitt closed with a fist pump and a gleeful “How ‘bout those Chiefs!”
(A hat tip to KCTV5 which posted the video feed.)
