The amount of reward money for information in the July 2013 stabbing death of Corey Laykovich has been increased to $5,000, authorities announced Thursday.
Laykovich, a 22-year-old college student, returned to his family’s Independence home at about 2 a.m. July 27 suffering from the stab wound. He died after being taken to an area hospital.
Michelle Metje, Laykovich’s mother, has contributted $4,000 to the reward fund.
