Police evacuated a Los Angeles International Airport terminal on Friday after a TSA employee was wounded, according to a report.
The worker was wounded after gunfire erupted near Terminal 3 inside the airport sometime after 9 a.m., CBS News reported.
The L.A. Times is reporting that a possible suspect was also wounded and is in police custody.
Fox Sports writer and former Star writer Bill Reiter was near the Virgin ticketing area when gunfire was hear.
"When gunfire broke out there was a stampede people, all of us hiding under seats we didn't fit under, we burst through the door to outside," he tweeted.
He later tweeted: "After the initial burst of gunfire and hiding, people started jumping over one another, jumping off chairs, pushing each other. Chaos & fear."
It was not immediately clear how bad the unidentified worker was injured, but emergency workers quickly evacuated the terminal.
The Los Angeles Police Department tweeted that "LAPD is now on TACTICAL ALERT due to a major incident."
The TSA agent was shot at a checkpoint, KABC reports.
