Highwoods Properties, which owns the Country Club Plaza, reported sharply higher profits and revenue in the third quarter.
The Raleigh, N.C.-based real estate company earned $53.3 million in the three months that ended Sept. 30, up from $33.4 million in the same period in 2012.

Revenue in the quarter climbed to $147.3 million from $123.4 million in the comparable quarter last year.
The company said it leased 1.7 million square feet of office space in the quarter, and also acquired $316 million in office properties located in Orlando, Atlanta and Nashville.
