Williams was driving north on Holmes when he lost control of his four-door Chevrolet, according to Kansas City police. The car struck a curb, steered back onto the road, and struck the rear of another vehicle. The Chevrolet then swerved across the road and struck a tree in the front yard of a home. Jazmine was in the front passenger seat.
Two other children in the back seat of the Chevrolet were taken to the hospital and reported in stable condition. The driver of the other vehicle was also injured and was reported in good condition. Three passengers in that vehicle were not injured.
Kansas City police said witnesses told them that the Chevrolet was “driving at a high rate of speed” just before the crash.
