A suspect in the Sept. 4 killing of a Kansas City, Kan., woman has been brought back to Wyandotte County to face charges.
Lee Edward Williams, who was arrested in Detroit two days after the crime, is charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of his former girlfriend, Ty’Shai Carvin.
Carvin , 20, was killed at the home of a relative in the 1900 block of North 15th Street. Family members said that Williams allegedly attempted to drag her from the residence before shooting her.
Williams, 24, was booked into the Wyandotte County Jail Tuesday after waiving his right to fight extradition.
