The incident was reported to police late Saturday after the girl told her mother that Slayton had sexually assaulted her at a Kansas City residence, according to court documents.
According to the girl’s statement, she had gone into the house to use the bathroom when Slayton took her by the hand and led her to the bathroom and sexually assaulted her. Police arrested Slayton, and a physical examination of the girl at a hospital revealed injuries that were consistent with a sexual assault, according to the documents.
Slayton was being held Monday in the Jackson County Jail.
