K-State shocked by North Dakota State 24-21

The day began in celebration, with hundreds of Kansas State fans cheering the unveiling of a Bill Snyder statue and a renovated stadium. It ended the in disbelief, with the second-largest crowd in Bill Snyder Family Stadium history watching the Wildcats open their season with a 24-21 loss to North Dakota State, a two-time defending national champion in the NCAA Division I championship subdivision, formerly Division I-AA.
