A southwest Missouri man has been charged with abducting, sexually assaulting and killing a 12-year-old girl whose body was found earlier in the week.
Thirty-four-year-old Bobby D. Bourne Jr. of Lockwood was charged late Friday in Barton County with child kidnapping, forcible and statutory rape, and first-degree murder. Bourne is being held on $2 million bond.

His alleged victim, Adriaunna Horton, disappeared Monday while playing with friends and a sister after her first day of school at a park near her home in Golden City, where she lived with her father.
The girl was last seen getting into a vehicle, and Bourne was arrested about two hours later. Her father has said that Bourne used to work for him and that their children played together.
Bourne’s attorney, Alex Reiter, didn’t immediately respond to a call seeking comment.
Law enforcement officers and volunteers conducted a massive search for the girl, whose body was found Wednesday on private land in a rural area of neighboring Dade County.
Earlier Friday, Barton County Prosecutor Steven Kaderly said Attorney General Chris Koster’s office would assist in prosecuting Bourne.
The girl’s mother, Wendi Jackson, lives in Overland Park.
