Johnson County Sheriff’s office will join other Kansas City area police agencies in cracking down on aggressive driving this weekend.
The sheriff’s office announced Friday morning that it will be joined by the Kansas Highway Patrol and the Mission, Olathe, Gardner, Shawnee and Kansas City, Kan., police departments in the special weekend enforcement effort.

Deputies, troopers and officers will look for drivers who are speeding, changing lanes excessively, passing improperly and tailgating.
In addition to targeting aggressive drivers, law enforcement officers will strictly enforce seat belt, drunken driving and helmet laws.
