Eighty-one people were arrested and Kansas City police seized 10 firearms and more than $48,000 worth of illegal drugs in a two-day sweep that ended Thursday afternoon.
Police worked in partnership with the Kansas City No Violence Alliance, a coalition of law enforcement, community and faith-based organizations targeting the most persistent violent criminals.

Police cleared 203 warrants and prosecutors filed 22 new state charges during the sweep.
