A Kansas City man on probation in a sexual misconduct case has been charged with raping a woman in Shawnee last November.
Jimmie L. Holman Jr., 29, appeared Tuesday afternoon in Johnson County District Court, where he is charged with rape, aggravated burglary and theft. His bond is set at $100,000. He is being held in the Johnson County Jail.
According to the charges, the victim was rendered unconscious by drugs or alcohol and was unable to give consent. Holman also is accused of burglarizing the woman’s home with the intent to commit a crime and with stealing money and a cell phone.
Holman has convictions in Jackson County for drug trafficking, felonious restraint and sexual misconduct, according to court records. He was ordered to undergo sex offender treatment as a condition of his probation in Missouri, the records show.
Holman’s next court appearance in Johnson County is scheduled for Aug. 15.
