Kansas City, Kan., police are looking for a person who ran from a wrecked car Friday morning after pointing a rifle at an officer.
The officer fired shots at the occupants of the car before it crashed, but police did not know if the officer’s bullets hit anyone.
The incident occurred about 6 a.m. Friday in the 1600 block of Richmond Avenue. The officer, who was investigating a report of shots being fired in the area, was standing in front of a residence when a car drove by and an occupant pointed a rifle at the officer, according to police.
The occupant did not fire shots, and the officer was not hurt. After the officer fired, the car crashed nearby and its occupants ran.
